It may have been a dream in the past, but it will certainly be a reality for you when Ms Lanka 2010 for Ms Asia 2011 is crowned in October in just two months time. We’ve extended the closing date to August 4 2010 to enable you to rush in your entries. So hurry!

We told you all about the change last week, but just in case you missed it, let us re-cap the objectives as expressed by Gwendoline Kuhatheva, Director Technique International. “Ms Lanka for Ms Asia holds a greater promise. For this is a beauty pageant which will necessarily incorporate the participation of other Asian countries there by connecting with each other with pageants and the eventual crowning of Ms Asia”.

The rules for the contest remain the same as printed in the application form. To all contestants who have sent in their entries, interviews have commenced and with it the programs of training, grooming and learning the catwalk. Besides an orientation program for the contestants has been planned and the program will be handled by a team from the students of Technique International. This will include a day of nail art, face painting and Mehendi.

Ms Body Beautiful

“When we look back on the events of a few years ago in a flashback to 2007 our fashions and events have proven that we are ready to go international. The contestants will receive training to build up their confidence and improve and enhance their looks.

And going by past records not only the title winner but others too will receive many prizes. We do expect the contestants to be a part of our outreach program by assisting us and working together to uplift the lives of the less fortunate, to raise funds for the training programs of the differently abled”,continued Gwendoline Kuhatheva.

In keeping with traditions and rules of Ms Lanka Beauty Pageant there will be no swim suit parade. The Mini titles will have designer wear, Ms Catwalk, Ms Elegance and Designer Sari for the finale.

So here’s your opportunity to vie for the glamour stakes by participating and experiencing the excitement which comes your way once-in-a-lifetime.

Technique International in collaboration with the Sunday Observer, Sri Lanka’s leading newspaper with the largest circulation, will present the pageant this year too. The other sponsors are Pico Events, softlogic, Sterling Flowers and Trendy wear.
